Four Leaf Communications Participates in “Meet the Media” Panel at Wisconsin Small Business Academy
Four Leaf Communications founder John Laughrin recently participated in the “Meet the Media” panel during the Wisconsin Small Business Academy event in Green Bay, hosted in partnership with the Greater Green Bay Chamber.
The panel brought together local journalists and communications professionals to answer questions from business owners about how local media works, what makes a story stand out, and how businesses can more effectively connect with reporters and newsrooms.

For Laughrin, the conversation was an opportunity to share perspective from both sides of the industry. After spending 25 years in local television news, including leadership roles in multiple Northeast Wisconsin newsrooms, he now works directly with businesses through Four Leaf Communications to help them strengthen their messaging, build visibility, and earn meaningful media attention.
“One of the biggest misconceptions is that media coverage is just about sending a press release,” Laughrin said. “The businesses that consistently get attention are usually the ones that understand their audience, build relationships, and communicate clearly and authentically.”
The event featured a wide range of local businesses and entrepreneurs, along with presentations and roundtable discussions focused on finance, legal issues, technology, marketing, and media relations.
Four Leaf Communications would like to thank the Greater Green Bay Chamber and Wisconsin Small Business Academy for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in an event focused on helping local businesses grow and succeed.
