In June 2025, Four Leaf Communications established its Advisory Board, bringing together a group of respected media veterans with decades of leadership experience. Their role is to provide strategic guidance across all areas of the business, offering insight, support, and perspective rooted in real-world expertise.
Board Members

Jim Arneson
Jim Arneson is a seasoned broadcast sales professional with over 40 years of experience, the majority of which was spent in sales management. His career began with a sign-on independent station in Milwaukee and included three years as a national rep in New York City. Jim later returned to Milwaukee and also spent time in Michigan before joining WFRV-TV in Green Bay, where he served as General Sales Manager for 13 years. He retired in March 2025. Outside of work, Jim enjoys boating, camping, skiing, and golf.
Jim is proud to support John and Four Leaf Communications. He’s worked closely with John and believes his newsroom leadership, energy, and ability to connect make him a rare talent. Jim brings a sharp sales mindset and a deep appreciation for the power of effective communication.

Brad Heinkel
Brad Heinkel brings more than 40 years of experience in broadcasting, sales, and sales management with Wisconsin-based media outlets. He earned his degree in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and retired in 2024. In addition to his professional career, Brad has served as a Lambeau Field tour guide for over five years, sharing his passion for the Packers and the community.
At Four Leaf Communications, Brad contributes seasoned sales expertise, a passion for local connection, and a grounded understanding of what makes messaging resonate.

Mike Smith
Mike Smith has more than 35 years of experience in broadcasting across the Green Bay–Appleton market. He began his career installing television antennas to help local businesses access the new UHF station WLRE-TV. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Mike went on to hold leadership roles in television sales and management at WGBA-TV and later WFRV-TV. He served as Vice President and General Manager of both WFRV-TV in Green Bay and WJMN-TV in Marquette, Michigan, before retiring in 2022. Mike has been active in the community through board and committee service, including with the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, Youth Go of Neenah, and the Green Bay Optimist Club.
At Four Leaf Communications, Mike brings executive-level leadership, deep local media experience, and a strong strategic perspective on business growth.
